Pine Valley

uncompromising focus on reaching out to the unchurched people

Pine Valley Church

Launching February 9th, 2020
Elizabeth High School Cafetorium

Dr. Robert Meyer, Pastor

Pastor Robert Meyer is well established in the area. He has lived near Elizabeth for 8.5 years and has been very involved civically, was a member of the Elbert County Planning Commission, and was communications director for 4 candidates for public office. He was asked to run for the office of County Commissioner but declined to do so. He has many friends among the leaders of the county and they are supportive of the new church.

His wife, Melanie, received Jesus as her Savior through Young Life at age 15. She has continued her commitment to follow Jesus as her Lord. She spent 27 years as a teacher in Christian schools. She is a prayer warrior, an asset to Bob in his counseling ministry, loves people, and has a gift of hospitality that will make people feel welcomed into the Pine Valley Church family.

The Mission and Vision of Pine Valley Church

Our mission is an uncompromising focus on reaching out to unchurched people, leading them to faith in Jesus, and training everyone in the church to become a fully committed follower of Jesus.

Our vision is to reach as many people as we possibly can by bringing churched and unchurched people together in many different settings. This will result in an ever-growing attendance at Pine Valley Church. We also envision planting more churches, both in the area and around the nation.

What is the need for Pine Valley Church?

Elizabeth is a small town but there are 327,000 people living within a 15-mile radius, 90% of whom are not attending any evangelical church. This means that there are nearly 300,000 unreached people within the church’s area of influence.

This is an area expecting high growth. The County Planning Commission just recently approved a subdivision of 920 homes and another of 300 homes within 4 miles of the church’s location. The county population is expected to grow by 25% in the next 10 years making it the fastest growing county in Colorado.

The number of unreached and reachable people near the church will be growing exponentially. Quite frankly, we could use at least 10 more churches like Pine Valley Church in the area.

Our Values

A Biblical Worldview

We believe that the Bible is inerrant, inspired by God, living and active, and gives us the clearest image of who God is and what He desires for our lives. It is to be our guide for all matters of faith and daily living.

Authentic Community

We believe life is meant to be lived in authentic community on a daily basis with the people God has placed in our lives. This community not only inspires spiritual growth among believers, but is attractive to those who do not know Jesus. (John 13:34-35, Acts 2:42-47, Romans 1:11-12, Romans 12:9-13)

Contagious Generosity

We believe it is our calling to be generous with all that we have. Everything we have and all that we are has been given to us from God, so we approach our time, possessions, and resources with an attitude of stewardship, not ownership. We believe that generosity is contagious, and as we flood our area with the generosity of Christ, others will want to join in! (Proverbs 11:24, Luke 6:37-38, II Corinthians 9:7, I Timothy 6:17-19)

Celebrating Family

We believe families are something to be celebrated! Everyone has one and each person and family matter to us. It’s our hope that families would experience the love, purpose, and growth that God desires for them. (Matthew 12:46-50, I Timothy 5:8, Romans 12:9-13, John 13:34-35)

Development and Deployment

We believe that people were created by God for a purpose. Each person’s purpose is fully discovered and thereby lived out through intentional development. We believe that each person should not just be developed but also deployed into the place where God can utilize them to their greatest potential. (Exodus 18:13-26, Matthew 20:26, Luke 10:1-9, Acts 6:1-7, Titus 2:1-8

Spiritual Maturity

We believe that every believer should be growing in three areas of their spiritual lives: Biblical Knowledge, Holy Obedience, and Spiritual Intimacy. We believe that we should be seeking to grow in these areas every day. (Hebrews 6:1, Ephesians 4:14-16, Colossians 1:9-10)

How Can I Become a Partner?

Pray!

The most powerful tool we have at our disposal is prayer. We firmly believe in the power of prayer and are asking for your commitment to stand with us in prayer daily. We invite you to subscribe to our monthly newsletter for updates and prayer requests.

Go!

Help get this new church off the ground with your attendance and with bringing groups from other churches to help us get started.

Give!

In order to effectively launch strong and reach the people of our area we need partners who are willing to give financially. Your generosity will allow us to launch well and maintain a level of excellence in what we do. We would value your commitment in giving financially either as a substantial startup gift and/or by committing to monthly giving for a 4 year period of time.
